Peter Jennings Reporting: UFOs in American History

On February 24, 2005, ABC’s Peter Jennings broadcasted a 2hr Prime Time special on UFOs titled “UFOs: Seeing is Believing.” This segment features the American history of UFOs, starting with the 1947 UFO sighting by Kenneth Arnold, a businessman and pilot, when the term “flying saucer” was first coined.
This segment features testimonies from scientists for whom seeing is not believing. For them only physical evidence will prove that UFOs are visiting Earth. Dr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson says that there are over 100 billion stars in our galaxy alone, and there are over 50 to 100 billion galaxies in the Universe. He says to suggest that we’re alone is inexcusably egocentric, but we need more than eye witness testimonies, we need physical evidence.
